Valentine’s Day is coming soon…
You may know that Valentine’s Day is my birthday. I wrote years ago about why I think Valentine’s Day is sweet (even if it’s not on your birthday) HERE. I love it so much that one of my first blogs was called everydayVALENTINE and that was also my Instagram handle for years (because I’m a valentine everyday…get it). I thoroughly enjoy this little holiday tucked in-between New Years and the Spring holidays. It’s fun and sweet and who doesn’t love hearts, candy, flowers and pink!?
Where we live in the Bay Area it is often sunny and a little warm in the sun during much of February. Flowers and blossoms will start blooming and I think it’s a nice little break in the cold weather before the gloom of March and April. It’s just what I need. We sometimes travel for a long weekend- locally or in Souther California) for my birthday and again the weather is often really moderate and nice.
I start thinking about ways to love-on my family in January as I know Valentine’s Day is approaching. I also decorate my house and plan the kids home-made valentines (if I’m really on the ball).
