I love creating playlist that reflect the Season or mood that I’m in. I actually spend hours curating them and listening and re-listening until they are just right. I love making them just right and create them to be played in order (the opening songs build and then the closing songs finish with the mood of the playlist I’m hoping for). After I’ve listened to a playlist a few times through (in order) I set it to random and let it play.
I also have a record player in our bedroom that I love to listen to this time of year. I have some old albums and a few new. I tend to shop for them at thrift stores or online if I really want something specific. Do you listen to records?
I tend to have a pretty eclectic taste in music. Check out my 2022 favorites HERE. I like a lot of folky songs, some pop, show tunes and faith-based/worship songs. I also love classic rock and the occasional country song. The band Switchfoot is a longtime favorite (we have seen them in concert a half dozen times) and I always enjoy Tswift, Christy Nockels, Chris Stapleton, Johnnyswim, Shane & Shane, Lauren Daigle and Caedmon’s Call. For Christmas music it’s got to be Amy Grant and Bing and the classics, with some new ones mixed in. Yes to Show Tunes & Disney! Yes to Adele, James Taylor, Cain, Ben Rector, We the Kingdom and all the worship bands. My teenage daughter often introduces me to new people (like Alec Benjamin) and that’s fun too. Justin Bieber almost always makes it on my playlists. I’m a Belieber forever! Is that an eclectic enough of a list? Ha ha.
What music do you go to again and again?
Do you build playlists? Do you listen a certain way?
